London-born Thomas Gunn was reared in Europe. He is a graduate of the internationally renowned Berklee College of Music in Boston, with a degree in film scoring. Gunn’s composition “Mothers in Motels” was nominated for a prestigious Hatch Award in 1994.
Thomas has hitchhiked from Maryland to Alaska, worked as a vocational instructor for special needs individuals, been an Audiology assistant, a construction worker, a sandwich maker. He currently lives in the inspiring and artistically stimulating piedmont area of Central Virginia with his wife and “two children with tails,” where he manages to stay busy performing with three bands, teaching music in two private schools, and making homemade stout beer superior even to Guinness.
